Born in Connecticut, USA, Joseph Roda received a B.S. in music education. He studied composition, arranging, and jazz performance with jazz guitar legend Sal Salvador and Bill Finnagan, arranger for Glenn Miller Orchestra . A composer and guitarist, his compositions range from contemporary art music to orchestral and concert band works. A member of ASCAP, his compositions have been licensed primarily for syncronzation to video, film and multimedia presentations. Aside from a conventional style of arranging in various musical genres, Joseph has developed a style combining classical orchestral instrumentation with electronic sounds and world music elements giving birth to pieces poetic in approach and keen in its musicality.Mr. Roda is currently executive director of the Palm Beach Orchestra, president of Global Entertainment Group, and former vice president of the Palm Beach County Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has had musical arrangements on both the “Tonight Show”, “The Merv Griffin Show”, and original compositions on ABC’s Wide World of Sports. He is editor and co-writer of “Chordal Enrichment and Chord Substitution”, and “Four Part Harmony for Solo and Comping” with Sal Salvador, Published by Mel Bay Publications, Inc., Pacific, MO. He produced the gala opening of the International Museum of Cartoon Art with Disney and Universal Studios, and produced live performances and corporate/charity events for clients Mont Blanc, Jr. League International, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Hospice, CBS and many others. |
